Where to stay?

Alicia and Daniel are Sedona experts (not to brag). If you’re looking to stay in a hotel, we recommend booking as soon as possible. Sedona is extremely popular in the fall and hotels will fill up. To make search easier, we’ve done some upfront research for you! Personally, we’d recommend staying within walking distance, but there are tons of options depending on the Sedona experience you’re looking for:

Hotels within walking distance to Tlaquepaque:

The Inn Above Oak Creek - 7 minute walk

  • These are Creekside rooms/cabins. Just south of Tlaquepaque. The Inn is a 7 minute walk up AZ-179. There’s a sidewalk the entire walk, and you don’t cross the highway! If you’re looking to enjoy Oak Creek, this is a great option. (Note, there’s not elevator on the property).

    • Rooms start at ~$200/night

Sedona Hilltop Inn - 4 minute walk

  • Standard hotel, that is a 4 minute walk down AZ-179. There’s a sidewalk the entire way, and you don’t need to cross the highway!

  • Rooms start at ~$250/night

Los Abrigados Resort & Spa - 3 minute walk

  • This is a resort directly behind Tlaquepaque. There are some mixed reviews, we heard directly from the venue that it’s very convent but some rooms are run down. But, if you’re looking to not fight with parking/Ubers, you can’t beat a 3 minute walk.

  • Rooms start at ~$250/night (there may be hidden resort fees)

El Portal Sedona Hotel - 6 minute walk

  • Good reviews but expensive, very close walk though

  • Rooms start at $300 a night

Arabella Hotel Sedona - 12 minute walk

  • Only books 6 months out, so there will be availability if you want to wait

  • Rooms are about $400 a night

Hotels Close to Shops and Restaurants:

Matterhorn Inn - 6 Minute Drive

  • Great location if you’re looking to explore some of the shops and restaurants in Sedona. All rooms have a balcony/patio. (Note, there’s no elevator for no-ground floor rooms).

  • Rooms start at ~$260/night

The Star Motel - 5 minute drive

  • Another great location, review say rooms are small-ish but if you’re looking to explore Sedona in your free time, a room is a room.

  • Rooms start at $260/night

Best Western Plus Arroyo Roble Hotel & Creekside Villas - 6 minute Drive

  • Great location if you’re looking to explore some of the shops and restaurants in Sedona.

  • Rooms start at ~$370/night

Resorts and B&Bs:

A Sunset Chateau Boutique B&B - 8 minute drive

  • Property offers a variety of casitas and suite, all with a more cozy vibe. It is a B&B so you’ll get a gourmet breakfast daily (looks like it’s included with your stay). There’s a pool, jacuzzi, and fire pits on the property

  • Rooms start at ~$330/night

The Wilde Resort and Spa - 7 minute drive

  • Luxury resort and spa in Sedona, with a nice looking restaurant, spa, and bar. It’s a bit of a drive, still in the heart of Sedona, so if you’re fine with a drive and are looking for more of a resort style stay, it’s a good option.

  • Rooms start at ~$500/night

Chain Hotels:

Hampton Inn Sedona - 5 minute drive

  • Rooms start at $334/night

Courtyard Sedona - 10 minute Drive

  • Rooms start at $450

Holiday Inn Express Sedona - 12 minute Drive

  • Rooms start at $215/night
